Op Ed - Atman, Deity and the concept of Prana Prathista (contd)
The concept of Atman – Hinduism says that we are all souls who reside in temporary physical bodies, this is true for flora and fauna too. A human soul will inhabit another human body in this Earth plane however should the soul’s purpose here be fulfilled then the soul can inhabit the body of another human-like physical being in another planet or galaxy. There are multiple galaxies with living beings in many planets. Hopefully the following flowchart can clarify further.
There are great souls who are constantly revered, for their greatness is measured by what they gave to help the lives of many other atmas, like some rishis, saints and many other people who remain immortal in folklores forever, Eg – Shankaracharya, Chanakya. Then there are angel souls.
These atmas are those who by virtue of their righteous duty (highest dharma) every step of the way in the face of the worst adversity have performed the highest karma even against their own mortal enemy.
To such souls the Trinities say – your wish is our command. Many such souls either choose to take rebirth after several years into a family of their choice, or rebirth immediately, or even stay in the angel realm of the earth plane or any other planet of their choice to help all the other souls living in their physical bodies.
Sometimes one may see their angel family member who passed away many years ago in their dreams warning them of some impending danger. Such angels feel dutybound out of their compassion to help people or members of their physical family.
They usually don’t warn on surprises because natural happiness raises the energy of the soul in gratitude, but they will always warn before those they care about engage in harmful activities that can either harm their karma or life and sanctity of life of the society at large.
However, those who wish to listen do and see the signs will take heed while those who are consumed by hate will destroy themselves and others. The angel souls cannot be present in several places at once unlike the divine deity souls.
