China reports 28 new COVID19 cases

China has reported 28 new asymptomatic COVID19 cases, majority of them are from the epicentre of COVID19 that is Wuhan, while no new confirmed infection has been detected in the country, chinese health officials said on Saturday.

China's National Health Commission said that till now, 370 asymptomatic COVID19 cases, including 26 from the overseas, were under quarantine.

No new confirmed COVID19 case was reported on Friday, chinese health officials said.

It said that 28 new asymptomatic COVID19 cases were reported in the country on Friday, with majority of the cases from the chinese city of wuhan.

Hubei province, for which Wuhan is the capital, has reported 25 new asymptomatic COVID19 cases on Friday.

The total number of such COVID19 cases under medical observation in the province was 295 by Friday, the local health commission reported.

Asymptomatic COVID19 cases are those which tested positive for Coronavirus but develop no symptoms such as sore throat, cough or fever. However, they pose a risk of spreading the deadly virus to others.

Local health authorities are conducting mass testing of all its 11.2 million people to ensure that there is no second eave of COVID19 pandemic.

Hubei province has seven confirmed COVID19 cases, including two of them are incritical condition.

As of Friday, China has a total of 82,971 confirmed COVID19 cases and 4,634 people have died of the deadly virus.
