Russia reports neraly 9,000 new COVID19 cases, 92 deaths

Russia's COVID19 caseload exceeded 350,000 on Monday, with health officials reporting almost 9,000 new COVID19 cases over the past 24hrs and 92 deaths, which brought the overall death toll in the country to 3,633.

Russia's comparatively low mortality rate raises questions among experts both in the west and in Russia, with some suggesting Russian government may be manipulating the statistics and under reporting the COVID19 related deaths.

Russian officials deny the allegations made by others about manipulation of stastics and attribute the low numbers to the effectiveness of measures taken to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
