"Something Bogus is going on": Elon Musk shares results of his COVID-19 test

Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk on November 13 questioned the accuracy of COVID-19 tests, and said "something extremely bogus is going on".

In his tweet, Musk said he tested positive twice and negative twice on all the same day.

"Something extremely bogus is going on. Was tested for COVID four times today. Two tests came back negative, two came back positive. Same machine, same test, same nurse. Rapid antigen test from BD," Musk said in a tweet, possibly referring to Becton Dickinson and Co's rapid antigen test.

Musk who took rapid antigen tests on Thursday, said he was also awaiting results from polymerase chain reaction(PCR) tests from different labs.

In a later tweet Musk said he had symptoms of a typical cold. "Nothing unusual so far".

Elon Musk said he is awaiting results from PCR tests for the COVID-19 from the separate labs which will take nearly 24 hours.

Some research has suggested that rapid antigen tests are less sensitive than RT-PCR tests while detecting the COVID-19.
