Thousands partygoers pack into Wuhan waterpark without facemask in China

Thousands of partygoers packed out a waterpark over the weekend in the Chinese city of Wuhan where the Coronavirus has emerged and transmitted to all over the world.

The Wuhan Maya Beach Waterpark was filled with partygoers in goggles and swimsuits for an electronic music festival. The waterpark reopened in the month of June after finally Wuhan opened up after the COVID-19 lockdown.

According to the local media, The Maya Beach Water Park has capped attendance at 50 percent of normal capacity is offering 50% discount for the female visitors.

In the official picture of the music festival, a performer is seen waving at the crowd, with many sat on inflatables. Another performer on a water jet board entertained the audience by hovering above them with sparks shooting from his back.

Though some of the partygoers had donned life jackets for safety but none of them seemed to be wearing facemasks as a DJ in bright yellow headphones performed on stage.

The party at the Water Park has been seen as a sign that the epicentre of the Coronavirus is finally returning to normality. The virus emerged from the chinese city Wuhan, before spreading to all over the world.

To boost the economy, the Hubei government has been offering free entry to 400 tourist sites across the province.
