After an earth quake of 7.8magnitude hits Russia's Kuril islands US authorities puts a Tsunami warning , though meterological officials in Japan said there might be normal tidal changes and issued no alerts .
The Pacific Tsunami warning centre issued that earthquake had enough potential to generate a destructive Tsunami while The U.S National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration told a Tsunami watch issued only for the state of Hawaii.
The centre said Tsunami waves are forecast to be smaller than 0.3 metre above the tide level and issued that there may be risks to the coast of Russia, Japan , Hawaii and the Pacific Islands of midway , wake land and the Northern Mariana .
The height is identical to just under a foot .
The Japan Meterological Association said about slight tidal change but no warnings had been issued .
The earthquake struck at 218km south east of the town of Severo , at a depth of 56.7 km , said the US Geological survey .
There were no immediate report of any casualities yet .
