United Kingdom has recorded its highest daily number of new COVID-19 cases since May, with 2,988 new infected cases announced on Sunday.
Just like other European countries, Britain is seeing the number of infections rise as it reopens after lockdown.
Increase number of cases can be accounted for by expanding testing, which is identifying whether people have mild or no symptoms.
The number of deaths and hospital admissions has so far not shown a corresponding rise. Two new deaths due to Coronavirus were reported Sunday.
The increased number of infections comes as United Kingdom school children return to class.
United Kingdom's confirmed COVID-19 death stands at 31,551, the highest death cases in Europe.
